The Americorp Fiasco!

I wonder how many people know about our President breaking the law that he helped sponsor in 2007. A statute that protects Inspector Generals who are working independently to protect  US, THE TAXPAYERS from being ripped off by the organizations that are receiving taxpayer dollars in the form of grants. Take Kevin Johnson, now the mayor of Sacramento, California, and a good friend of Michelle Obama, and supporter of  B. Hussein Obama. He received Americorp grant money for his St. Hope non-profit organization. Sounds on the up and up, right? Except the organization itself asked the Inspector General to investigate reports that he misused this money for personal and political gain. This past Wednesday the Inspector General Gerald Walpin received a phone call from the White House Council asking for his resignation or he would be fired. Hmmm, this is where it gets tricky. You see, the statute that Obama sponsored stated that NO Inspector General can be fired by the White House without a 30 day notice to the congress, and a justification, a reason as to why he wanted this person fired.  That didn’t happen, and Mr. Walpin was fired immediately. Does anyone see a problem with this?  We have a president who now strong arms appointed and confirmed government employees at his whim!! Preserve, Protect and Defend the constitution of the United States. I think NOT!

It’s been awhile since my last post

My apologies to anyone who may have found this blog and wondered why only one post. Well, I just came through hip replacement surgery, which was something that happened very unexpectedly. When I came home from the hospital the hard drive on my laptop was fried! I had to get it together enough to find my warranty, get a new hard drive installed, and then remember how to connect to my wireless network. Try doing that coming off anesthesia and narcotic pain pills. I’m 3 weeks post-op now and trying to get all my sites back on to my computer, what a disaster!! I’ll have a relative post, in regards to my blog title asap.

America won’t stand up to Somali pirates

We have now definitely become a nation of yellow-bellied sapsuckers! (not all of us, just one group in particular)  A ragtag group of terrorist’s in the guise of somalian pirates have taken an AMERICAN CITIZEN HOSTAGE! Helloooo, wake-up people. These people are hijacking these ships for ransom, or selling the cargo to  fund aL-QAEDA. Remember, the guys who attacked our country when they flew those planes into the World Trade Center 7 1/2 years ago. Have you been living in an igloo in Antarctica? But I suppose I should not be expecting anything else from a president who bows to the King of Saudi Arabia. A president who tells the world  leaders he’s apologizing for how Americas have behaved in the past, but not to worry because we are no longer a Christian or Jewish nation. So in other words it was the Christians and Jews who have been derisive and arrogant?  Hold on, he doesn’t speak for me and alot of other people I know. We’re not apologizing to a bunch of American bashing, women hating socialists.

Maybe this will put everything that happened overseas into context, excerpt from Obama’s speech to the Turkish Parliament; “I also want to be clear that America’s relationship with the Muslim community, the Muslim world, cannot, and will not, just be based upon opposition to terrorism. We seek broader engagement based on mutual interest and mutual respect. We will listen carefully, we will bridge misunderstandings, and we will seek common ground. We will be respectful, even when we do not agree. We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world — including in my own country. The United States has been enriched by Muslim Americans. Many other Americans have Muslims in their families or have lived in a Muslim-majority country — I know, because I am one of them.”

Hmm, that explains it all now doesn’t it?

The State of the Union

What is happening to our country? Our Constitution? Our Pride in being an American? The founding fathers of this country worked diligently at peril of their own lives, to draft what eventually became The Constitution of the United States. The basic tenet of our governing document was that each of us was born with unalienable rights bestowed upon us by a higher power, namely God. I have a hard time believing that the politicians who are sworn to preserve, protect and defend the constitution, can have a hint of  their real duty when the majority of them refuse to allow the mention of God, Religion or a Power higher than themselves. The state of our union is in jeopardy.

“I sought for greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors, and her ample rivers. and it was not there; in her fertile fields and boundless prairies, and it was not there; in her rich mines and her vast world commerce,  and it was not there. Not until I went to the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.”   Alexis deTocqeuville 1831

Think about how little goodness is really seen throughout our country today, especially in the younger generation. Hmmm, who is at fault for that failure?
